we use these in a retail setting to display vintage light fixtures that we hang from the tracks. we add electrical plugs to the wiring so we can plug them in. you just insert the terminal end into the track and turn them until they lock into place for a convenient place to plug in the light fixtures. be certain that you turn the outlet the right way or you could damage it or the track. at the very least, they won't work if not installed correctly. we really like this product and recommend it, but we would like it even more if the price were about a third less.
